The Mira Mattress is a medium-firm mattress designed to reduce pressure to your back and hips for optimal comfort. The perfect firmness of our mattresses consists of two foam layers: 

1. Comfort top layer - 1.5" cooling gel-infused, polyurethane foam. This technology also reduces motion transfer, meaning you can change sleeping positions throughout the night without waking your partner. 
2. High-density support layer - 8.5” transitional support, polyurethane foam.

People of different body types and shapes will feel firmness differently. Our mattress is designed for optimal comfort for individuals under 250 pounds with a total capacity of 500 pounds.

The Mira Mattress is designed to work with most bed frames, including using it on a traditional box spring or directly on a slatted frame.

Please note that if you use a slatted foundation, the gaps between slats should be no larger than 3 inches.

To allow for proper air-flow, we recommend not placing the mattress directly on the floor.

It’s common for brand new products to have a moderate scent after unboxing. We like to think of this as a “new car smell”. Should your Mira mattress have a slight odour after unboxing, it will dissipate over a short period of time.

We ensure our products are safe for the environment and safe for you. This means that the foams we use are free of formaldehyde, phthalates, and flame retardants, as verified by an independent third party organization.

However, if the odour is bothering you, allow your mattress to air out for 24 hours, at which point the odour should subside. If there are any fans in the room, turn them on to increase air circulation.

To keep your mattress in the best condition possible and allow optimal air-flow, you should place it on a proper foundation and not use it directly on the floor.

Using a proper foundation will help prevent damage that can be caused by moisture accumulating underneath the mattress. This is more of a risk in damp environments, but can also occur where dormant spores are present in the flooring.

Yes, the Mira Mattress is hypoallergenic and latex free.

The Mira Mattress is not organic as it's made of different types of polyurethane-foam. We do ensure that our mattresses are certified to have low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million).

Unlike traditional memory foam mattresses, the Mira Mattress is designed with a 1.5” comfort & cooling top layer to allow you to keep a consistent temperature while you sleep.

All mattresses ship in an easy to carry box, sized 44" x 18" x 18".

PLEASE NOTE: The Mira Mattress increased from an 8" to a 10" mattress height for all purchases as of November 1, 2019.

You may experience an adjustment or break-in period with your Mira Mattress. Just like a new pair of shoes, the materials in the mattress need to be physically broken in, so it might feel more stiff than you’d expect in the first few weeks of ownership. We recommend that you give your new Mira Mattress up to 30 days to experience the full effect.

Mira Mattresses ship free to all 10 Canadian provinces.

If you live in the Territories, you will need to purchase through the Mira Amazon Store instead of this website. Please note that an extra shipping charge will apply if you live in a remote area.

We do not offer order pickup as we do not have any retail locations and sell exclusively online via our website and Amazon.ca.

Your Mira Mattress will be brought directly to your door by our delivery partners.

Our delivery partners will do their best to bring your package to your door, but they are not able to bring it inside your home or apartment for insurance reasons.

If you need help to carry and set up the mattress, please plan accordingly with a friend or a neighbour.

You can sleep on your new Mira Mattress shortly after unpacking it from the box. Mira's core stabilizes in a couple of days and will maintain its integrity for the life of the mattress.

Within 48-72 hours after unboxing, your Mira Mattress will reach its full firmness.

We know it can take some people time to fully adjust to a new mattress, so we give you Canada's longest at-home mattress trial. If you're not completely satisfied with your mattress, simply contact our customer service team and we'll arrange to have your mattress picked up at no charge and offer you a full refund.

You do not need to keep the original packaging the mattress was shipped in. Please contact us at hello@mirabed.com and we will coordinate your return for you.

There will be no re-stocking fees in the event of a return within the trial period.

If you aren’t satisfied with the comfort of your Mira Mattress and would like to return it, we will be happy to arrange the pickup of your mattress. 

Once the pick-up is confirmed, we will refund you the full amount using the initial form of payment within the next couple weeks.

• Spot cleaning is best for smaller stains where possible
• Machine wash the mattress cover with cold water on gentle separately
• if still damp then can repeat spin dry cycle again

• Do not Dry Clean
• Do not Iron
• Do not bleach

It is natural that with long term usage, the increase in softness of foam is normal. Best recommended to rotate your mattress periodically for even wear and tear.
